El sueño de invisibilidad de H.G. Wells está un poco más cerca. En la novela del escritor británico 'El hombre invisible' (1897), que llevaría a la gran pantalla en 1933 el cineasta James Whale bajo el mismo nombre, un científico llamado Griffin descubre cómo lograr que el índice de refracción del cuerpo humano coincida con el del aire de manera que la luz no se refleja en él y lo hace invisible.
Ahora, un grupo de investigadores de EEUU ha logrado acercar a la realidad el relato de ciencia ficción de Wells. Los investigadores han creado por primera vez una envoltura capaz de hacer invisible desde cualquier ángulo un objeto en tres dimensiones.
